Kaanapali Alii Resort

My husband and I had a great stay in unit 407. The location was very centrally located on the island with easy access to all the major areas. Lots of great snorkeling nearby. Great food as well. The beach is perfect for watching the sunset. Not a good beach for snorkeling right in front of the unit though. You need to drive no more than 10 min to get to some good snorkeling spots. The unit was well stocked. Newer carpet which was nice. Nothing super fancy about the unit but very comfortable. Smart TV in the bedroom. We would definitely recommend this unit and would love to stay here again!

The room was comfortable and clean, probably the cleanest place I've stayed with VRBO. The beach was great, and views of the sunset were a highlight. I just kept taking photos of the view. The only thing missing is its own food & drinks. You have to walk to other resorts to get those things. The people here were friendly, and it was calmer than neighboring resorts, which was great for us and our personalities.

We stayed here for 10 days while friends stayed at a much more expensive resort a few minutes away. There isn’t a bar here, but our room was 3x bigger so they wound up spending time hanging out in ours. It’s conveniently located, and having a kitchen and laundry room allowed us to cook for everyone (and save a few hundred per meal) and keep all clothes clean. A great way to vacation.

You CANNOT beat the view! It’s absolutely breathtaking. I sit on the balcony every morning and watch the waves kiss the shore. The condos are spacious and well stocked. They’ve thought of everything! The staff is responsive and efficient. The beach is quiet and clean. You can stop searching, this is your sign to book with Ali’i resorts! I would 100% return to room 504 every single year!

July 2023: This extended stay residence hotel is quite a bit on expensive side.. But it was well worth it! We had an excellent stay in partial ocean view 2-bedroom suite of approx 1600 sq feet: - Rooms were very clean, luxurious, and well-equipped. A tiny bit dated in a way. But not ridiculously dated at all: some pieces of squeaky older bamboo furniture even added a pleasant charm. - Free parking - easy to access. A bit hard to find a spot under the roof after 5pm, but there's a plenty of parking outside under the palm trees. - AMAZING fitness center!! Solid A+. Very good equipment: Matrix treadmills, climbers, all sorts of weight machines, free towels, personal yoga room.. and it was entirely empty when we were working out at 6-7pm. - We had a pleasure to observe the Westin's Fire Dance show right out of our window almost every night... for free! :D - Good beach access: you can swim at shore, OR go deeper and swim in the reef. The reef is quite close to shore. I even captured a couple turtles in the reef right next to the hotel without going to the Black Rock beach for that. - There are aplenty of surfing options. Waves are real good. - There are no food options on premises. But the hotel is literally 5 minutes walking distance from the Whalers Village and Black Rock, with a lot of good (but a bit pricey $10-20 per person) food options in there. Microwave and fridge is great. - Washer and Dryer in the hotel room. - Great pathwalk around the hotel - works great for early morning jogging activities. Saturday and Sunday you can walk to canoe / rowing club and watch their competitions. It was fun. - Swimming pool is on a smaller size, but if you're travelling to swim in the Ocean - it doesn't really matter. Hot tub was very hot, especially on a first day after sunburn. I loved the place and hoping to come back again soon. Lots of positive emotions.
